Delivery Conditions

To honor our satisfaction guarantee, the recipient may be called to schedule delivery, this especially pertains to perishable food items that cannot be left if the recipient is unable to receive the delivery.  We also do not accept requests for delivery on specific hours of day without an additional fee.  Standard local delivery ranges between $12.95 and $49.95 depending on the delivery address zip code.  We deliver to the entire Portland metro area including rural communities to the east all the way to Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood.  As a special service, we do offer Rush deliveries and Super Rush delivery.  Rush deliveries are made by 10:00am in the following zip codes: 97030, 97080, 97230. 97233, 97236, 97220.  Super Rush deliveries are made by 9:00am and are available in the following zip codes: 97030, 97080, 97230. 97233, 97236, 97220.

Delivery Status

Please consider your order delivered on the delivery date you requested if you receive a confirmation. If we have any difficulties with your order we will contact you by telephone and/or e-mail.  Customers that provide an email address at time of ordering will be provided a delivery confirmation message when the driver returns to the shop.  

Floral Order Delivery Times

As a rule, deliveries are made during normal business hours (9 AM to 5 PM) for businesses and (9 AM to 5 PM) for residences.  Outside of the above situations we are unable to guarantee delivery requests for a specific time or within an hourly range unless a Rush delivery is paid for, or other arrangements have been made verbally with our staff.  Orders that request and pay for a Super Rush delivery (an additional charge of $15.00 & delivery between 8:00am & 9:00am), or Rush delivery (an additional charge of $10.00 & delivery between 9:00am & 10:00am), will be delivered by the specified times, unless the order comes in with less than an hour to process, design & deliver the order.  This can occur when an online order is started before the automatic time cut-offs, but then is not finalized until after the time window has elapsed.  In this case, we will prioritize the order as the next to deliver, but it will not be delivered in the time window selected due to the order not being completed within a reasonable amount of time.

Funeral arrangements require additional lead-time. If your sympathy or funeral order requires delivery at a specific time of day see below:

• Monday Morning Delivery - Order by Saturday at 12 noon in the recipient's time zone
• Morning Delivery Tuesday through Saturday - Order by 3p.m. in the recipient's time zone on the day before
• Afternoon Delivery Monday through Saturday - Orders must be placed with a 4 hour lead-time

Exotic Flowers and Plants - Due to the limited availability of exotic flowers and plants, Next-Day delivery is required. Delivery is available Monday through Saturday.

Asking us to Call Before Delivery

Many times customers ask us to call before we make a delivery. This does not work well because of the fact that each order is custom made and our delivery drivers are scheduled to deliver on a route. If we call and get no answer, what are we to do? We could wait until we hear back, or keep calling but in that case the driver may have left and the delivery may not be made that day. It is our policy that if asked to call we will, but if there is no answer or a voice message, we will still deliver.

When the Recipient Is Not Home

We will normally leave the item at the door and call the number provided at time of delivery if necessary.   In rare cases we may also leave a note on the recipient's door asking the recipient to call us and arrange a convenient time for re-delivery.  If the recipient is at work all day, we suggest sending the arrangement to their workplace. Incomplete or incorrect addresses or incorrect or missing phone numbers may delay delivery. We employ professional delivery personnel who will find the best delivery choice for your special gift.  Many times the best option is to send the delivery to a workplace.  We will honor requests to “leave at door if not home,” however, if the delivery driver feels that the location is not safe, due to in bad weather, extreme heat or cold, or theft potential, then the delivery may need to be rescheduled.

Incorrect Address/Re-Delivery

Changes to address information or incorrect addresses after the order has been placed resulting in a re-delivery may be subject a $10.00 charge. This is a very nominal charge for a second delivery service. Many times the custom made bouquet has had to be completely remade. Our P.O.S. system is very helpful to verify addresses.  If at the time of placing an order you are not sure of the address, please let us know - we have many tools to help track down a correct address. It is not necessary to have the complete address of a hospital or funeral home - the name of the patient or deceased and the city and state is all we need. We verify all hospital and funeral home data before we send a delivery as part of our service.

Deliveries to Schools

There are issues with deliveries to schools that customers should be aware of, Floral orders are delivered to the office, sometimes the office does not notify the recipient that a floral order is in the office, oftentimes on holidays such as Valentine's Day the office will refuse the delivery.   Most elementary, middle and high schools do not allow deliveries of any kind to students.  Deliveries to college dormitories are also problematic as they are secure buildings that have a call box to gain admittance.  If the student is not in their dorm room and does not answer we will not be able to make the delivery.  In addition, these facilities often do not have an office or mailroom to accept deliveries on the student’s behalf.

Delivery to Cemeteries

We offer floral grave placement services to all Portland metro area cemeteries with the proper grave location information.  Signatures upon delivery are not available due to the circumstances of this type of delivery.  Flowers sent to graveside services at Willamette National Cemetery can only be delivered fifteen to thirty minutes prior to the service - this is the policy of the national cemetery.  Attempts to deliver sooner are not possible since often there are services at the same shelter or meeting area prior to the service we are delivering for.  After flowers are delivered to the designated shelter or meeting place our obligation is finished.  That is, if the flowers are stolen or not present for the service we still need to be paid.

Sunday Delivery

Due to limited availability of florists open Sunday, we cannot guarantee delivery on Sunday.  However, Monday will need to be an option for delivery if Sunday is not available or we can deliver on Saturday so that the delivery is a day early rather than a day late.

Floral Deliveries to the U.S. and Canada

Note all transactions are in US currency. In the U.S. and Canada, same-day delivery is generally available Monday through Saturday on orders received before noon in the recipient's time zone (excluding holidays and peak floral delivery periods). Orders received after 12:00 pm in the recipient's time zone may be delivered the next delivery day.  Same day may be possible but you should allow us the latitude of the next day delivery.  Please make sure that your order information is accurate and complete in order to avoid delivery delays. This would include the apartment or suite # if needed, and most especially a current telephone number for the recipient.

Delivery fee for US & Canada address outside the Portland metro area: $25.00

Please Note:

Additional funds may be requested and required to fulfill your order if the shop delivering needs more money; for delivery due to distance from shop, for special floral or design components that may be scarce or more expensive in that local market, or because of other reasons out of our control in order to get the order delivered.  In most cases, your order will not fall into this situation, however, it is possible and becoming more frequent due to COVID-19 and the economy resulting in numerous florist closures nationwide.  Remote delivery areas that have no local florist will be cancelled and refunded if necessary.

International Floral Deliveries

Due to the various time zones between the U.S. and other continents, same day delivery is not available. We can only guarantee delivery dates for orders received three business days in advance. You must call us to place an international delivery order; they cannot be ordered online. Many times the order is delivered within 24 hours, but please allow 72 hours to be safe.  Floral arrangements delivered internationally may vary due to current exchange rates, or regional and seasonal availability. Prices may be subject to change for certain countries. You will be contacted if additional funds are required.
